Construction Drawings

So with a few tweaks and finally getting all of the windows sorted out, we now have our final Construction Plans - ready to build!

GROUND FLOOR

FIRST FLOOR

MAJOR STRUCTURAL CHANGES WE MADE TO THE PLANS:

Balmain Facade (no balcony)
Converted Lounge Room to Guest Suite, this alters the Laundry layout.
Re-arranged the Guest Ensuite to be separated from the Powder Room (special approval for this in 2012, apparently no changes to wet areas permitted in 2013).
Addition of Grand Alfresco.
Addition of Dining Room Build in Drawer Unit.
4-leaf Bifold to back.
2m wide Garage Extension and addition of Roller Door to the back.
Addition of Laundry Chute.
Windows - we don't like awning windows, therefore all front facade windows, master bathroom and master ensuite are Casement Windows, the rest are all Sliding Windows - these are all double-glazed. All except one awning in the guest suite shower.
Addition of doors to WIR, Pantry and Rumpus

  1. Hi Claire, they are windows that are hinged only the side, either left or right and then you wind them out. Sort of like how a cupboard opens. We feel that it will enable more airflow than an awning window. We have the opening facing to the south so in the heat of Summer we will get a cool breeze.
    Hope that makes sense.
